Job Description:

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and reviewing small to medium-sized tax returns
• Preparing small to medium-sized tax provisions (ASC 740/SSAP 101)
• Preparing and reviewing complex consolidated tax returns
• Participating in tax research and consulting projects, including assisting with the preparation of tax opinion letters
• Providing effective and timely feedback and mentoring to tax staff
• Actively participating in business development events What you'll bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Licensed CPA or CPA eligible
  • At least three years of recent public accounting experience in tax
  • Corporate tax return preparation and tax issues, including a working knowledge of consolidated return issues (federal and state)
  • Insurance tax experience is preferred (not required)
  • Excellent problem-solving and client-relationship skills
  • A willingness to work with and learn from all your team members
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team while juggling multiple priorities
  • Communication skills - clear, concise writing and verbal skills
