Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An elementary school in Kansas City, MO seeks a full-time Special Education Teacher with experience teaching Mathematics to 5th through 8th-grade students. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to support diverse learners in a structured educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs Deliver targeted math instruction aligned with curriculum standards for grades 5-8 Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success Maintain accurate records and comply with all documentation requirements related to special education services Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification in Special Education Proven experience teaching mathematics to students in grades 5-8 Strong understanding of special education laws, strategies, and classroom management Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment Effective communication and collaboration skills Location:Kansas City, Missouri Elementary School setting Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive dental, vision, and medical insurance coverage This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on students academic growth and development.
