Job Title: Electrical EngineerDuration: 12+ Months Location: RemotePay Rate: $55/hr. to $70/hr. Depending upon Experience. We specialize in delivering world-class Digital Product Engineering, Data Management and Analytics, and Staffing Solutions services to Fortune companies, SMBs, ISVs, and fast-growing startups.Job Description:REMOTE US- Substation design L3, L4, L5Power/Power Systems experience preferred.Quality Assurance and Quality Control of high voltage substation design projectsHigh Voltage Substation design experience (physical & P&C)Technical experience preferred.Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.Prepare one-lines, connection diagrams, panel elevations and protection & control schematics for power substation equipment.Prepare auxiliary power equipment sizing calculations. Design wiring diagrams for protective relaying panels.Perform complex engineering calculations/studies related to substation projects such as: lightning protection, conduit fill, AC/DC station service loading, surge arrester sizing and voltage drop.Create RTU control, status and analog point lists, raceway/cable schedules along with maintenance/signage and nameplates.Prepare equipment arrangement, grounding, foundation and conduit plans for high voltage substations.Review shop drawings, vendor quotes and perform bid evaluations.Develop construction release documents.Experience 500KV - 13.8KV substations, varying voltage classesExperience with open air and/or GISEducation:Lower-level roles (EE3) do NOT require accreditations.Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.Minimum of 8 years of high voltage substation design work experience.All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.PE is not required.
