Summary
Directly assists division management on special assignments and
projects involving a wide variety of complex technical or
operational improvement functions, and develops, coordinates, and
directs the implementation of special technical or operational
management initiatives or projects that cross divisions and/or
functions.Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists and represents divisional management in technical and
administrative matters, performing specialized assignments as
directed.
- Directs and facilitates divisional projects, technical and/or
operational efforts that cross divisions/functions, including the
application of sound management techniques to reduce costs and
improve operations.
- Functions as a divisional project lead, which may involve
responsibility for coordinating some of the work of specific
individuals and providing direction to them in connection with
divisional projects that span across divisions.
- Coordinates the technical or operational efforts of management,
including evaluation of technical or operational objectives and
programs to determine compatibility with divisional
directives.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect
continual improvements within the division in efficiency of
services performed.
- Utilizes best-practice and innovative processes to define,
coordinate, and implement procedural changes to assure
cost-effective operations throughout the division.
- Negotiates agreements and/or obtains approvals for divisional
improvement programs.
- Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of functional
programs in relation to established goals.
- Interacts with divisional management to formulate and implement
strategies necessary to meet divisional objectives.
- Represents divisional management, as directed, in meetings or
appropriate functions.
- May act as a direct customer interface on assigned
projects.
- Develops project plans to identify resources necessary to
deliver divisional objectives on schedule and within budget.
- Monitors the progress of projects, reports results, and
initiates corrective action as required.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in
accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the
protection of employees, the public, and the environment.
- Takes actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition
or action is identified.You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Eight years of experience in a functional role.
- Ability obtain and maintain Department of Energy Q-Level
Clearance which requires U.S. CitizenshipWe Value
