Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and
oversee the maintenance operations of our facility and equipment.
This role requires expertise in diesel mechanics, fabrication,
project execution, effective communication, and record keeping with
CMMS software. The ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter that
is willing to jump in and take on any task. The manager will be
responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring equipment
reliability, tracking work orders, and executing maintenance
projects while maintaining a high level of accountability. This
position may require work beyond regular business hours to address
urgent maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Equipment Management
Develop and oversee a preventive and corrective maintenance program
for all facilities, fleets, and equipment, including:
Diesel-powered machinery (forklifts, concrete trucks, heaters,
manlifts)
Cranes
Fabrication (welding, grinding, cutting)
Facilities (offices, production buildings and other facilities)
Electrical maintenance (120V, 208V, 480V, and 3 phases)
Pneumatic and hydraulic experience.
Wood working experience.
Small engine repair
Diagnose issues related to diesel engines, heavy equipment, and
facility operations.
Develop and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts
to ensure minimal downtime.
Work Order & Project Management
Utilize maintenance management software to track work orders,
schedule preventive maintenance, and generate reports.
Plan and execute maintenance projects, upgrades, and renovations
within budget and timeline constraints.
Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure
efficient service and procurement.
Team Leadership & Communication
Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians to ensure
high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Assign work orders, monitor progress, and provide technical support
as needed.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among
the maintenance team.
Maintain clear communication with upper management and other
departments regarding maintenance activities, project timelines,
and resource needs.
Ensure the maintenance department has a clear priority level for
workers and projects that coincide with management.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with OSHA, KDOL, and other workplace safety
regulations.
Implement and enforce safety procedures for all maintenance
activities.
Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify potential
hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a maintenance manager or in a similar
leadership role.
Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, fleet maintenance, and
facility management.
Proficiency in maintenance management software for tracking work
orders and scheduling maintenance (we use a software called
LIMBLE).
Excellent project execution skills with the ability to manage
multiple maintenance tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and management skills to lead teams and
collaborate across departments.
Ability to work outside regular business hours when necessary for
emergency repairs or urgent maintenance needs.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Education & Experience:
Facility management, diesel technology, or a related field
(preferred).
5+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a
managerial or supervisory role.
Certifications in diesel mechanics, electrical, or facility
management are a plus.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in industrial, shop, and outdoor
environments.
May require lifting, standing, and working in varying weather
conditions.
On-call availability may be required for emergency repairs.
