Job Description:

Position Description: The role of the Benefits Manager is to manage and oversee all benefits plans offered by and provided to Lever1 clients/employees. In this position, you will be responsible for administering and managing employee benefit programs, making sure that employees have access to the benefits they need. You will be working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that all employees' benefits are up to date and accurate. You will also be responsible for evaluating current benefit plans and making recommendations for changes that may be necessary. The Benefits Manager must have a thorough understanding of the company's policies and procedures, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with employees and other stakeholders. Administer and manage employee benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts
Communicate benefit plan information to employees
Assess workforce needs and recommend benefit changes
Negotiate with benefit vendors and brokers to secure competitive rates
Prepare and file required government reports
Monitor benefit changes at federal, state, and local levels
Process enrollments, terminations, and changes
Provide customer service to employees with benefit inquiries
Analyze and audit benefit plans for cost-effectiveness
Conduct employee benefit orientations and educational seminars
Maintain employee records, benefit files and other related documents
Respond to and resolve employee complaints related to benefits
Assist with the development and implementation of new benefit programs
Assist with the annual open enrollment process
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, CEBS, preferred
3-5 years of experience in benefits administration
Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and other related software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Highly organized with an attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
