Position Description:
Provides leadership in the absence of the Department Managers /Director Patient Care/VP/COO for total activities of MCMC resulting in optimal care and the development of assigned staff to their fullest potential. Coordinates with department managers to optimize staffing assignments and staffing for the MCMC departments after hours. Provides professional image and is a role model for staff. Responsible for meeting JCAHO and MCMC standards of nursing practice.

Position Requirements:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
2 year/Associate degree required

Experience:
3-5 years RN experience required
Management experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills:
Analytical, Organizational, Verbal Communication and Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize required

License, Registration and/or Certification:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact required upon hire
Healthcare Provider CPR - (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) required within 7 days from date of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 120 days of hire
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 120 days of hire
