Safety (OHS) Clinical Program Consultant will be an expert in
Occupational Health programming and will lead implementation
efforts for OHS minimum standards for Optum Behavioral Care
(OBC).You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere
within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. -Primary
Responsibilities:
- Lead implementation efforts for OHS minimum standards through
policies, procedures, guidelines, consultation, training, and
education
- Evaluate OHS programs and services against accreditation
standards and contractual requirements
- Assist with preparedness for external audits, risk mitigation
for potential OSHA complaints and coordinate associated reporting
and communications
- Implement process improvement activities for OHS to address
areas of non-compliance or ensure procedures are followed
- Ability to learn/use OHS management systems as designed
- Conduct desktop, virtual or on-site surveys to validate
adherence with safety standards for facilities/locations.
Coordinate multi-site OHS inspection and medical surveillance
programs
- Lead implementation efforts for safety standards through
consultation, training, and education, in collaboration with the
UHG Enterprise Occupational Health and Safety team
- Maintain detailed knowledge of OHS Safety Policies and
Procedures
- Participates in annual review of programs and plans
- Manage and track program implementation efforts, data, metrics
for multiple facilities
- Assist with identification of technology needs to support
programs/processes (e.g., systems for use of the program) and
provide or coordinate system and reporting requirements
- Apply technical knowledge to resolve complex issues or
hazards
- Monitor injury trends and implements initiatives to reduce
injuries, as required
- Interpret laboratory, clinical, and medical reports
- Work with business leaders on issue resolution and corrective
action plans
- Serve as an expert and mentor. - Promote a Culture of Safety in
all work
- Solve complex problems independently; proactively identify new

in.Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience implementing Occupational Health and
Safety or Public Health programs
- 2+ years of experience within a matrix organization in
healthcare
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office applications
including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and
SharePoint
- Distraction-free space in home for home office
- Access to high-speed internet (Fiber Optic, Cable)
- Ability to travel up to 10% timePreferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health
Administration, or related field
- Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant,
with occupational or public health experience
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN), or other
certification in public health
- Experience with OHS management systems, audits/surveys
- Expert Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, v look
ups, filtering, sorting, creating/editing spreadsheets, graphs,

York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range
for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New
York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300
per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited
to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to
