a special person to become a nurse, but that's even truer for those
who go on to become Pediatric nurse. These dedicated professionals
care for the most fragile patients there are sick and premature
newborns. In addition, they are on the front lines when it comes to
helping scared parents through what is often a traumatic
experience. -About this unit:
- Position will support the -PICU and Pediatric Med Surg
-Inpatient areas as needed. -
- -9 bed - PICU/Med Surgical
- All board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric specialists
with more than 100 years of combined experience.
- Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. -
- Schedule: 3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends: 7pm - 7am
(NIGHTS) -Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Director, the RN coordinates
and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and
accountability for the provision of nursing care. -
- Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies
and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA
Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure
standards. Pediatric patients between birth to 18 years of age.What
Qualifications You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN
preferred.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the
state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in
accordance with law and regulation. BLS (American Heart
Association) on hire. PALS, ACLS, and ENPC certifications within 6
months of hire. TNCC certification within 12 months of hire.
- Minimum one year RN experience required. Previous clinical
