Sunterra Springs Independence is pleased to announce a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant position. Sunterra Springs is a 38-bed skilled nursing facility across the street from Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. The skilled nursing staff consists of trained professionals that are prepared to provide extraordinary care for even the most complex health conditions. Our Physical Therapist Assistant would be responsible for the following:* Counsel patients and their families on what to do following treatment.* Observe the patients they are working with before, during and after therapy and report notes to the Physical Therapist.* Assign specific exercises for the patient and help the patients do these exercises.* Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.* Use a variety of techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.* Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area.Our Physical Therapist Assistant will enjoy a great work environment, flexible schedule, endless career potential, and generous compensation.
