Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/29/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of Siemens and PACS experience and current ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS certifications. Responsibilities - Work in adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings - Perform MRI scans on abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions - Use Siemens MRI equipment and PACS system - Average daily census of 20 patients - Schedule is a combination of day and night 12-hour shifts including Sundays and some call requirements - Blocked scheduling provided - Floats may be required within scope, including to sister facilities within the service line - Perform advanced MRI procedures including MR angiogram, MR venography, MRCP, diffusion imaging, gradient echo, multiplanar reconstruction, and post-processing mapping - Handle preparation, scanning, and post-processing for diverse patient cases, including trauma and spinal imaging - Team-based environment with the possibility to float across units and facilities as needed - Pre-start modules including EPIC EMR, infusion pump, and glucometer training are required prior to start - Compliance includes 10-15 hours of modules due before the start date - All labs and drug screening must be completed as directed by compliance rules - Tenure policy requires an 18-month break if returning after prior assignment - No more than 7 days of requested time off permitted during the assignment - No travel partners accepted Requirements - Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience as an MRI Technologist, with a full year in the specialty within the last 12 months and no more than a 90-day employment gap in the past year - Current ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS certifications required - Experience with Siemens MRI systems and PACS required - Professional skills including isolation precautions, contrast media administration, starting peripheral IVs, and specialized imaging procedures - Must hold active unrestricted Kansas and Missouri or compact license at time of consideration if applicable - 2 references from within the past year, with at least one from a supervisor level or above - First-time travelers accepted - Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-642034.
