Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Orthopedic/Neuro Job Details: • Position eligible for 48 guaranteed hours • Work on 32-bed medical-surgical orthopedic/neurology unit • Patient ratios: 1:4 with team patient care or 1:5-6 with patient care technician • Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 6-8 RNs, 4 PCTs, 1 unit secretary • Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 6-8 RNs, 4 PCTs, 1 unit secretary until 10 PM • Work with Welch Allens equipment and Meditech EMR system • Handle typical procedures including total joint replacements, complex spine care, complex neurosurgery cases, and general surgery • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring strong collaboration skills • Floating areas include medical/telemetry and surgical specialty floors • Rotate every 3rd weekend; night shifts can be Friday/Saturday/Sunday • Dress code: Royal blue scrub top and bottom and/or black scrub bottoms • Required certification: BLS • Preferred certifications: ACLS or PALS, Basic Dysthymia class Facility: This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that specializes in orthopedic and neurological care.
