Job Summary and Qualifications Under limited supervision, the Interventional Technologist completes interventional procedures including routine arterial and venous interventional procedures well as complicated interventional procedures including stenting and cerebralcoilingsand procedures using contrast media. What you will do in this role: - Complies with principles of sterile technique. - Collects and assembles data for database, outcomeanalysisand performance improvement. - Responsible for carrying out any other activities assigned by the IR Supervisor or Imaging Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently. - The IR Tech is required to participate in the on-call rotation and is required to respond within 30 minutes when on call. What qualifications you will need: - Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred. - Two years of experience in a procedural field may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT) program completion. - BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequiredwithin30 daysof hire. - ACLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequiredwithin 6 months of hire. - ARRT preferred. - OJT with current two years ormore ofexperience may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program and RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist). - Knowledge of cardiac anatomy & physiology. - Abilityto complete a hemodynamic test and arrhythmia recognition testwithin six months. - Computer data entry. - On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
