Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Overland Park, KS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,153 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, NIH Certification Must-Have: - A good attitude - A team-oriented mindset - Cardiac experience is a plus Description: 28-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit that takes acute cardiac patients, including those from catheterization lab procedures such as ablations, PFO closures, stenting, and pacemakers. We also care for stroke patients and provide overflow care for other patient care units as needed. The unit prioritizes safety and quality, with high expectations for documentation compliance and management of central lines, Foley catheters, C. diff, and other healthcare-associated infections. Teamwork and support from charge nurses are emphasized. Unit techs are available to assist with patient care. The types of equipment used include EKG machines, bladder scanners, sit-to-stand devices, hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis for medication administration. Documentation is managed using a specific electronic health record system. Staffing includes a requirement of at least every third weekend, with a minimum of three shifts per week. Float policy supports movement to similar units as needed. Patient experience initiatives focus on personalized communication, including daily nurse leader rounds to ensure patient engagement and acknowledgment. The unit values safety and quality measures, monitored through daily routines. Clinics or certifications relevant to care include those for stroke, colorectal services, and bariatric services.
