registered nurse working the in the Emergency Mental Health Crisis
Center (EMHCC) (RN) provides services in the emergency clinical
settings. The RN works directly with pediatric patients with
psychiatric problems, in addition to supporting the staff who
provide direct patient care for pediatric patients with psychiatric
problems. The role is aimed at early intervention and treatment of
children with mental illness, and includes interdisciplinary
collaboration. The RN ensures all clinical care is delivered in a
manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical
outcomes, quality assurance standards, staff and patient safety and

/n/nResponsibilities:/n - Utilizes the nursing process to develop
and implement a safe, high quality, comprehensive and
age-appropriate plan of care for the critically ill patient
experiencing a psychiatric emergency that promotes optimal patient
outcomes - Meets the educational and informational needs of the
patient and family and advocates for their needs - Maintains an
environment that is safe, comfortable, efficient and family
centered - Utilizes current research and evidence for practice to
expand personal professional knowledge, enhance role performance,
and improve nursing care quality /n/nQualifications:/n - ADN
Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are
grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing
role and 1-2 years experience preferred - BSN preferred for all
nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Nurses hired after this date
without a BSN must complete their degree within 5 years of their
hire date and no experience necessary/ on-the-job training - One of
the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate
License Missouri required upon hire - One of the following:
Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas
required upon hire - RN Compact license for all states besides KS
and MO - Employees must obtain Licensed RN - Kansas or equivalent

Pay:/n Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for
this job begins at $33.43/hr, but your offer will be determined
based on your education and experience. Shift Differential
