Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The Radiologic
Technologist is primarily responsible for accurately and safely
performing radiologic exams as ordered by the providers. The
Radiologic Technologist must effectively communicate with patients
to explain the procedure and to direct the patient to proper
positioning. The technologist must be organized and able to
prioritize tasks in a demanding work environment. PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITY Perform radiologic procedures as ordered by provider
Position patient for proper view of the affected area Effectively
communicate with patient during the exam to answer questions and
direct patient to proper positioning Properly edit, crop, and
annotate images Quality check images Practice radiation safety
Maintain clean and safe work environment Maintain patient privacy
and confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA and company policies
and procedures Additional administrative duties as assigned SKILLS
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Highly organized with
the ability to handle multiple tasks Professional and strong work
ethic Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility
to work independently as well as in a team environment Evaluate
diagnostic radiographic exams for technical quality COMPETENCIES
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work
environment Apply independent, professional, ethical judgment, and
critical thinking to safely perform procedure Ability to establish
and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all
levels of the organization Ability to communicate clearly with
patient to explain the procedure, answer questions and relay
information about what to expect during the procedure Willingness
to adhere to all principles of confidentiality Ability to represent
the company in a professional manner to both internally and
externally Goal-oriented and self-motivated. Is proactive,
committed, has high standards, and does what it takes to get the
job done Ability to work independently and to work effectively in a
team environment Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and
resourcefulness EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Graduated from an
accredited school of Radiological Sciences (required) Current ARRT
license (required) Licensed by the state of Kansas Board of Healing
Arts (required or must obtain upon hire) Licensed by the state of
Missouri (required or must obtain upon hire) BLS certification
