$36.50–$42.50 per hour Additional night and weekend shift
differentials Position Summary The Charge Nurse supervises and
coordinates patient care activities on an assigned shift. This role
directs licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel, assists in
direct patient care, supports staff development, and represents
management in their absence. The Charge Nurse monitors program
safety and oversees crisis response when needed. Key
Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct licensed and
non-licensed nursing staff to ensure appropriate staff-to-patient
ratios Coordinate care with providers, patients, families, medical
staff, and ancillary departments Maintain responsibility,
authority, and accountability for program operations during
assigned shift Support and reinforce program philosophies,
policies, and clinical standards Keep management informed of shift
activities, incidents, and operational needs Provide input on staff
orientation, education, and performance evaluations Deliver patient
care that prioritizes safety, quality, and risk reduction Ensure
thorough, timely, and confidential documentation and communication
Develop and maintain professional and clinical competencies
Participate in program meetings, committees, and quality
initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas At least two
years of experience in psychiatric nursing or ANCC certification in
psychiatric nursing At least 21 years of age Valid driver’s license
and auto insurance Preferred Experience & Skills More than two
years of experience supervising registered nurses in psychiatric
care Experience using electronic medication administration records
and electronic health records More than one year of
medical-surgical nursing experience ANCC Psychiatric Nursing
