Henson! 5 Henson Hall Tower is a general medical/surgical unit that
specializes in Orthopedic patients, though we also care for general
medical patients. It is a 27-bed unit. All patient rooms are
private and configured in a racetrack layout. Patients range in age
from neonates to 18 years. We occasionally treat young adults.
Primary diagnoses - Blount’s - Cerebral Palsy - Clubfoot -
Developmental and Congenital Hip Disorders - Hand Anomalies - Joint
Infections - Limb Length Discrepancy - Neuromuscular Disorders -
Spina Bifida - Spine Deformities - Trauma-Related Injuries Utilizes
nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide
comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for low acuity assigned
patients. Assists with the shift supervision of nonprofessional

/n/nResponsibilities:/n - Utilizes the nursing process to develop
and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the
low acuity patient and family which promotes optimal patient
outcomes. - Meets the educational and informational needs of the
low acuity patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of
teaching/learning. - Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care
to low acuity patients. - Delegates nursing care based on knowledge
of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.
/n/nQualifications:/n - Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current
employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and
permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and No
Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training - Bachelor's Degree
Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Nurses
hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree
within 5 years of their hire date. - One of the following: Licensed
RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon
hire - One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse
Multistate License Kansas required upon hire - Refer to Nursing and
Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for
required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire - Specialty
Certification relevant to unit’s patient population (determined by

competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.50/hr, but
your offer will be determined based on your education and
