It is a 27-bed unit. All patient rooms are private and configured in a racetrack layout. Patients range in age from neonates to 18 years. We occasionally treat young adults. Primary diagnoses - Blount’s - Cerebral Palsy - Clubfoot - Developmental and Congenital Hip Disorders - Hand Anomalies - Joint Infections - Limb Length Discrepancy - Neuromuscular Disorders - Spina Bifida - Spine Deformities - Trauma-Related Injuries Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for low acuity assigned patients. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources. /n/nResponsibilities:/n - Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the low acuity patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes. - Meets the educational and informational needs of the low acuity patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning. - Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to low acuity patients. - Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements. /n/nQualifications:/n - Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training - Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013.
