ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Float pool position rotating between approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units and other Metro campuses as needed • Patient ratios of 1:5 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends) • Minimum 8 weekend shifts required every 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) • Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit • 1-2 years of nursing experience required with first-time travelers accepted • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS • Preferred certifications: ACLS • Must have experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown • Skills required include cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac cath care • Experience with sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID patients • Preferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care, accessing ports, blood product administration, and central line management • Must be willing to float between Kansas and Missouri facilities (compact license required) • 12 hours of orientation provided • Special equipment includes Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell • Epic charting system experience required • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • Guaranteed minimum 3 shifts per 13-week contract Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing progressive care unit services with advanced cardiac and neurological monitoring capabilities.
