A nutrition aide, also known as a dietary aide, assists with nutrition services and may work in a number of roles depending on the facility. About this unit: We are growing our department and looking for dependable and compassionate people to fill our team. Opportunities for cross-training We use the power of food to improve the well-being of our patients, staff and visitors. Responsibilities: Prepares cold foods, assists in preparation of individual ingredients, not limited to slicing, chopping, measuring Assists with labeling, dating and storing food in accordance with regulatory food safety guidelines Stocks deliveries in appropriate areas, mindful of safe heights, weights, etc. Ensures food refrigeration and storage temperatures are maintained Ensures dishes and prep tools are washed and ready for use May serve as back up for Cafeteria Coordinator Ensures work areas within the kitchen are appropriately cleaned Demonstrates working knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction Regular, reliable attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care Follows hospital safety and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and patient care Behavior demonstrates understanding and adherence to Belton Regional Medical Center's ICARE values: Perform all daily activities with INTEGRITY Show COMPASSION in all interactions ALWAYS deliver the highest level of patient care and customer satisfaction, every time Exhibit RESPECT to self and others Work to achieve the highest standards of EXCELLENCE Food handlers permit requiredPrevious food handling experience preferredEffective communication and prioritization skills Possess the ability to work effectively in a team.
