Dive into a dynamic driving role with True Value in Kansas City, MO. We're seeking a heavy-duty delivery driver for a flexible, casual position designed to keep our operations running smoothly. Whether stepping in during call-offs, handling increased demands, or compensating for unmet hiring needs, you'll be a vital component in ensuring our delivery commitments remain seamless. Offering $32/hr with overtime post-40 hours, this role is ideal for those desiring a flexible schedule combined with the stability of a professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a manual transmission truck to transport a variety of heavy items including hardware, car batteries, soil, and concrete directly to local True Value Stores across MO, KS, NE, and parts of IA.
• Handle loading and unloading operations, using manual pallet jacks and performing physical work, including lifting items weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Manage both local and regional deliveries, including direct store drops with occasional layovers to maintain our extensive delivery network.
• Keep precise records of deliveries, adhering to all DOT regulations and safety standards.
  Requirements:
  
  • Must possess a valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
  • Experience in direct store delivery with comfort handling heavy touch freight.
  • Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and engaging in physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexibility with shift start times between 11 PM and 5 AM, and openness to weekend shifts.
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage delivery schedules and maintain effective communication with dispatch and store managers.
